What’s happening at Hurstville Central

29 September 2020

This quarter, Hurstville Central Shopping Centre welcomed its newest tenant Yees Yogurt to the Centre. After several weeks of fit out works, the store recently opened for trading. Meanwhile, fit out works for Central Grounds Espresso Bar are nearing completion with the final stages in progress and set to be finalised very shortly.

In other tenant news, the store refurbishment at Tosca Seafood is complete. The long-term tenant of the Centre has unveiled a fresh new look to match all that fresh produce it has to offer! And last but not least, a Juice for Good vending machine from ForPurposeCo recently arrived at the Centre. These vending machines use rescued oranges to provide a delicious and healthy drink option. With nearly half of all Aussie-grown fruit and vegetables not making it off the farm, it's great to see these oranges being repurposed. And the best part ... all profits go to OzHarvest, Australia's leading food rescue organisation dedicated to helping people in need. Cerno is proud to be associated with this incredible community-minded organisation. For more details on how to support Ozharvest, visit www.ozharvest.org.

Hurstville Central Shopping Centre is home to Coles, Adams Apple, Tong Li Supermarket, Tosca Seafood, McDonald's and Priceline, along with a variety of specialty shops. It also provides entry into Hurstville Train Station, one of the busiest train stations in Sydney. Recently, the escalators providing entry to the Centre and Hurstville Station via Forest Road were replaced. The escalator replacement project was managed and funded by Transport NSW, given the escalators' dual-use purpose supporting entry to both the Station and the Shopping Centre. Cerno Property Services worked closely with Transport NSW throughout the project duration and we are very pleased to see these services upgrades supporting the steady flow of foot traffic.
