The quality of our people determines the success of our business, and we are proud to have formed a team of highly-skilled, long-tenure staff, many of whom started since our company’s inception in 2004, or shortly thereafter. This high tenure ensures a breadth of knowledge across the business and a consistency that our clients trust.

We have also enjoyed adding to our team along the way, with many new faces joining our Cerno family as the company has grown. New team members have brought with them a wealth of experience, innovative new ideas and fresh and creative new perspectives. Meet our Team

Paul Di Cristo Director

Paul founded the Cerno Group with Co-Director Mike Figg in 2004 and has been instrumental in building a skilful team to assist with the successful delivery of Cerno's projects. Paul has a Bachelor of Building (Construction Management) and over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, covering project and development management, property investment, and facility and asset management.

Mike Figg Director

Mike started the Cerno Group with Co-Director Paul Di Cristo in 2004. Mike has over 30 years’ experience in the property sector, with broad exposure across finance and accounting, airfreight, engineering, construction, property investment and development, and property funds management. His experience covers investments via partnerships, complex joint ventures and listed property entities. Mike is a qualified chartered accountant.

Donovan Moodie Director

Donovan is a registered real estate agent with over 20 years’ experience across finance and accounting; manufacturing; construction; IT; and property investment, development and management. For the past 10 years, Donovan’s focus has been on property management and accounting across commercial, retail and industrial. Donovan has a Bachelor of Commerce in Business and Accounting and post graduate qualifications in Marketing.

Peter Whittle Associate Director

Peter has over 40 years’ experience in quantity surveying and project management in the building industry. Since specialising in project management, Peter has demonstrated an impressive track record of delivering successful projects. Peter’s skill set includes financial management, estimating and cost planning, strategic planning and communications management. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science (Quantity Surveying).

Grant Harding Associate Director

Joining Cerno in 2013, Grant brings to the Group experience in managing functional teams within retail and manufacturing sectors, including Architectural Design, International Procurement, Business Development, and Research and Design. Grant is a specialist in presenting to stakeholders and negotiating planning provisions. Grant has an Associate Diploma of Architectural Drafting and an Advanced Diploma of Project Management.

Phillip Rodrigues Senior Project Manager

Phillip has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, 13 of which have been with Cerno. Phillip has a practical and hands-on approach in managing consultants and contractors. He primarily focuses on construction refurbishment and fit outs to commercial and retail tenants. Phillip has a Bachelor of Building Construction degree and Masters in Property Development.

Alexandrea Crabtree Senior Project Manager

Alex is a results driven Project Manager with comprehensive experience at both a private and government level, with particular expertise across commercial/retail sectors. Her experience in the public sector has given her invaluable insight into how government agencies operate. Alex ensures that project objectives are met through effective stakeholder engagement and delivery of quality outcomes. Alex has a Bachelor of Applied Science from RMIT University.

Lachlan Brogan Project Manager

Lachlan is a client-centric Project Manager with an aptitude for results. His high-energy and ability to collaborate with teams across multiple sectors has garnered respect from his clients and peers alike. Lachlan has been exposed to the full project life cycle during his time in the industry. He excels at problem solving and is valued for his commitment to financial and document management with an acute eye for detail. Lachlan has a Bachelor of Applied Science, Project Management.

Adrian Wood Project Manager

As a Project Manager with formal training in Civil Engineering, Adrian provides an analytical perspective to the problem solving process, helping move projects along through difficult junctures. Adrian has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Project Engineering and Management).

Robbie McGowan Project Manager

Robbie is an attentive and diligent Project Manager with a strong grasp of complex project life cycles, particularly across the retail sector. Through his experience in stakeholder and communication management, proactive planning, and with his methodical approach, Robbie ensures a strong client focus throughout all project phases.

Erik Eklof Project Manager

Erik holds a Bachelor of Property Economics degree and has previously worked in property valuation for one of Australia's largest rating valuation companies. This experience has allowed Erik to gain a deep understanding of the NSW property market and its financial aspects. Erik is skilled at producing accurate cost and cashflow analysis and effectively navigating the time and operations management aspects of projects.

Matthew Simpkins Senior Project Manager

Matthew has over 10 years of local and international experience in the design and construction industry and proven skills developing effective systems for joint venture projects with investment partners. With a design consultancy background, Matthew contributes technical expertise and project management skills to achieve successful commercial and design outcomes. Matthew holds a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture and a Post Graduate Certificate in Property.

Warwick Gondoputro Assistant Project Manager

Currently studying Civil Engineering with Architecture, Warwick aims to combine his academic knowledge with practical experience to assist Cerno across a range of projects. Warwick assists the team in preparation of monthly reports, payment/tender recommendations and overall cost management. He is mentored and guided by the support of the team's Project Managers.

Allan Livits Project Manager

With a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management and Property, Allan combines his formal qualifications with a strong passion for property, business and technology. Allan previously worked as Facilities Manager within Cerno's Property Services division before moving into the Cerno Management team to pursue his interest in project management.

Daniel Jesuthasan Assistant Project Manager

With a Bachelor of Business, Daniel brings an analytical approach to the Cerno Management Team and a different skill-set to a typical project manager. Daniel utilises his academic knowledge to find unique solutions to assist Cerno in a wide range of projects. Daniel specialises in cash-flow analysis, cost management, and financial reporting and analysis.

Cleo Meimaroglou Assistant Project Manager

Cleo is studying a Bachelor of Construction Project Management. Cleo combines her theoretical knowledge with practical application to support Cerno with various projects. Cleo assists in preparing overall cost management, payment recommendations and monthly reports with the guidance of the project management team.

Atticus Bertrams Project Administrator

Atticus assists the Cerno Management team with the preparation of monthly reports, payment/tender recommendations and overall cost management on various projects in development. Atticus is due to commence industry-related tertiary studies in 2022.

Chris Bogdan Property Manager

Chris began his career as a Facilities Manager with the Cerno Group in 2013, before transitioning into the role of Property Manager due to his quick uptake and understanding of the industry and his ability to manage a busy shopping centre. Chris’s proactive approach to problem solving provides a valuable resource to the Cerno team. Chris has a Bachelor of Construction and Property Management, a Diploma in Finance and a Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).

Joseph Cabassi Facilities Manager

With a background in law enforcement, Joseph is able to bring a unique way of thinking and approach to different situations to the Cerno Property Services team. He understands the challenges that a Facilities Management role entails and has a strong commitment and drive to effectively overcome any day-to-day challenges that present themselves. Joseph has a professional attitude and thrives on building constructive relationships with all stakeholders.

Martin Ceh Assistant Facilities Manager

Martin works within the Cerno Property Services team, working closely with property managers and facilities managers to ensure operations run effectively. Martin has a Bachelor of Property Economic degree and has quickly learned to adapt and thrive in the fast-paced nature of property management.

Franklin Xia Junior Property Analyst

Franklin assists the team with industry research, acquisition analysis and reporting in the role of Junior Property Analyst. With a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics (Econometrics), Franklin brings a keen eye for analytics and a passion for financial modelling.

Erin Soper Accountant

Erin Soper is the Cerno Group’s Accountant. With over 10 years' experience in the property industry, Erin has previously worked as a personal assistant and within the accounts department in the strata industry. Erin has completed the Certificate for Level Three Business Office Administration and holds a current Certificate of Registration in Strata Management.

Clare Bacon Group Financial Controller

Clare is the Group's financial controller and company secretary. Clare has more than 15 years’ experience across the financial services sector, having worked in professional services, investment banking and IT-finance. Her experience covers a broad spectrum of finance skill sets including financial reporting and project financial management. Clare has a Post Graduate Degree in Accounting and Finance and is a qualified chartered accountant.

Stephanie Figg Operations

Stephanie manages the Operations for Cerno Group. Stephanie has over 10 years’ consulting experience on workforce management in the corporate and educational sectors. Prior to consulting, Stephanie practiced as a clinical psychologist. Stephanie has a PhD in Psychology.

Suzanne Ibbotson Marketing and Communications

Suzanne has over 12 years of experience in marketing and communications across property, financial services, social business, higher education and corporate events management. Working in a part-time consulting capacity for Cerno Group, Suzanne manages the team’s marketing, media, digital and communications collateral. Suzanne has a Bachelor of Economics degree.

Manette Jones Accounts Support

Manette supports Cerno Group's Accounting department assisting with all finance related operations.
