Meet our Team
Paul Di CristoDirector
Paul founded the Cerno Group with Co-Director Mike Figg in 2004 and has been instrumental in building a skilful team to assist with the successful delivery of Cerno's projects. Paul has a Bachelor of Building (Construction Management) and over 17 years of experience in the construction industry, covering project and development management, property investment, and facility and asset management.
Mike started the Cerno Group with Co-Director Paul Di Cristo in 2004. Mike has over 30 years’ experience in the property sector, with broad exposure across finance and accounting, airfreight, engineering, construction, property investment and development, and property funds management. His experience covers investments via partnerships, complex joint ventures and listed property entities. Mike is a qualified chartered accountant.
Donovan is a registered real estate agent with over 20 years’ experience across finance and accounting; manufacturing; construction; IT; and property investment, development and management. For the past 10 years, Donovan’s focus has been on property management and accounting across commercial, retail and industrial. Donovan has a Bachelor of Commerce in Business and Accounting and post graduate qualifications in Marketing.
Emma is an experienced project manager with particular expertise in the health, education and aged care sectors across all phases of delivery. She excels at managing the complex challenges of construction in a live operational environment and at balancing the diverse requirements of multiple stakeholder groups. Emma is valued for her strong focus on client satisfaction, reliability and commitment to optimising project outcomes.
With a deep passion for business, accounting and finance, Bevan has strong investment underwriting, financial modelling and funding skills and is adept at client pitches, building relationships and generating deal flow. Having previously worked for a global consulting firm and large private property group, Bevan is a chartered accountant, holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting & Financial Management and has completed level one of the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
Peter has over 35 years’ experience in quantity surveying and project management in the building industry. Since specialising in project management, Peter has demonstrated an impressive track record of delivering successful projects. Peter’s skill set includes financial management, estimating and cost planning, strategic planning and communications management. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science (Quantity Surveying).
Phillip has over 17 years’ experience in the construction industry, 13 of which have been with Cerno. Phillip has a practical and hands-on approach in managing consultants and contractors. He primarily focuses on construction refurbishment and fit outs to commercial and retail tenants. Phillip has a Bachelor of Building Construction degree and Masters in Property Development.
Joining Cerno in 2013, Grant brings to the Group experience in managing functional teams within retail and manufacturing sectors, including Architectural Design, International Procurement, Business Development, and Research and Design. Grant is a specialist in presenting to stakeholders and negotiating planning provisions. Grant has an Associate Diploma of Architectural Drafting and an Advanced Diploma of Project Management.
Stephan is a detail-oriented Project Manager with a strong understanding of the construction process. Stephan has successfully managed the timely completion of many projects. His ability to manage functional teams within commercial, residential, retail and hospitality sectors has garnered the respect of his clients and peers alike. Stephan has a Bachelor of Construction Management and Property, majoring in Property Development.
Patrick has worked for leading multinational property, construction and development management companies in Australia and the UK for more than 15 years. Patrick’s expertise covers the private and government sectors, delivering health, aged care, commercial, mixed use, retail, residential, education, transport infrastructure, industrial, hotel and process design engineering projects. Patrick has a Bachelor of Arts degree with business models.
Having previously worked in tier one construction, John has diverse expertise delivering commercial, mixed-use and retail projects for some of Australia’s largest institutions. With high-level skills in project delivery, financial management, strategic planning and communications management he is also highly adept at managing multiple stakeholder relationships. John holds degrees in construction management (first class honours) and economics.
As a Project Manager with formal training in Civil Engineering, Adrian provides an analytical perspective to the problem solving process, helping move projects along through difficult junctures. Adrian has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Project Engineering and Management).
Adrien has 10 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, both in the UK and Australia. Adrien’s experience encompasses commercial landscaping and construction, including major projects such as One Central Park and Barangaroo. He has a solid understanding of project and stakeholder management. Adrien has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Masters in Project Management and Diploma in Building and Construction.
With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and diverse work experience, Stewart has extensive know-how and experience in design, development and project management, plus skills in asset management and maintenance, risk analysis and operations management.
Erik holds a bachelor’s degree in property economics, and has previously worked in property valuation for one of Australia’s largest rating valuation companies. As Junior Project Manager, Erik assists with the completion of construction-based projects for a range of property asset classes.
Chris began his career as a Facilities Manager with the Cerno Group in 2013, before transitioning into the role of Property Manager due to his quick uptake and understanding of the industry and his ability to manage a busy shopping centre. Chris’s proactive approach to problem solving provides a valuable resource to the Cerno team. Chris has a Bachelor of Construction and Property Management and a Diploma in Finance.
Helen manages all facets of marketing communications for the Cerno Group and its entities. With over 15 years’ experience in managing marketing and communications across the private, higher education, health and non-profit sectors, she holds a Diploma in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Certificate IV in Public Relations plus bachelor of arts degree.
Stephanie manages the Human Resources for Cerno Group. Stephanie has over 10 years’ consulting experience on workforce management in the corporate and educational sectors. Prior to consulting, Stephanie practiced as a clinical psychologist. Stephanie has a PhD in Psychology.
Erin Soper is the Cerno Group’s Office Manager and Accounts Support. With over 10 years' experience in the property industry, Erin has previously worked as a personal assistant and within the accounts department in the strata industry. Erin has completed the Certificate for Level Three Business Office Administration and holds a current Certificate of Registration in Strata Management.
Dianne has recently taken charge of Cerno’s events management in a part-time capacity. Prior to this, Dianne worked as the Group’s Office Manager. In addition to her part-time role at Cerno, Dianne is a qualified Primary School Teacher and shares her time between teaching and the planning of corporate and social events for the Cerno Group. Dianne has a Bachelor of Education.

We are currently recruiting for an Office Administrator to run our fast-paced Sydney office. This is a crucial and diverse role combining office management, administrative support and accounts payable/receivable assistance.
We are looking for someone who is efficient and professional, self-motivated and highly organised with great time-management skills. Experience in the full Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft NAV and CRM exposure would be advantageous), and the ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative team environment is essential.
