Completed Asset Enhancements Reinforces Customer Engagement And Retail Performance.

Cerno has completed a series of targeted asset-improvement initiatives at Hurstville Central Shopping Centre, focused on enhancing the functionality, visibility and amenity of the Centre.

The refurbished food court has been well received by retailers and patrons alike. This important project has delivered a fresh, contemporary space to one of the Centre’s highest-use and highest-impact amenity zones. Beyond improving presentation, the upgrade has enhanced dwell time dynamics and customer flow, supported food and beverage performance, and reinforced the Centre’s role as a daily-needs and convenience destination in the Hurstville trade area.

In parallel, a reconfiguration of sections of the concourse floorplan has improved circulation, visibility and spatial efficiency within the Centre. Importantly, this work has unlocked new, well-positioned leasing opportunities without materially disrupting operations.
Customer engagement remains key in underpinning performance. Foot traffic has been consistently solid, with monthly visitation approaching one million, providing a reliable base for retailer turnover and leasing confidence. This sustained level of activity underpins retailer performance and reinforces the Centre’s role as a key shopping destination in the Hurstville trade area.

Collectively, these initiatives—alongside sustained leasing activity and retailer performance—reflect Cerno’s considered and proactive approach to retail asset management, reinforcing long-term asset quality.
