Previous update as at July 2020 below

The Shine Bright Early Learning and Medical Centre, located at Maiden Gully Victoria, is coming along beautifully with site progress moving effectively and steadily since construction works began in February 2020. Upon completion this new all-encompassing facility will be used to care for and educate children and provide a much-needed medical facility for the growing community in Bendigo and its surrounds.

The Centre’s structure has recently taken shape, with the lack of wet weather proving advantageous, allowing the team to forge ahead with construction. We have also completed a full re-design of the landscaping package, thanks to MALA. The client’s goal is to provide a state-of-the-art outdoor learning and education area where all the children can enjoy the outdoors in safety with independent and group play options. Within the outdoor play area there will be sandpits, water play features, rocks, logs and indigenous architecture, providing educational and fun play experiences.

In terms of progress to come, the landscaping will begin at the beginning of July 2020 complementing the building aesthetics and the facility’s curb appeal. The façade will be installed over the coming weeks, giving the building its signature look and cementing it into the landscape around it. Internal works will commence at the end of July 2020 which will allow the overall look and feel of the Centre to really take shape.

The project is running on task, tracking steadily against time and budget guidelines with any issues during construction handled effectively and efficiently by both the design team and the contractor. We are fortunate to work with the fantastic team at Resicare who are doing an incredible job, always looking for ways to improve the building whilst ensuring the timely completion of the project. We look forward to sharing images of the final project once it is completed.
